Dear Students - Please read carefully to the end! This class is only available In-Studio (In-Person) ❤︎ Learn the art of Persian dance with Nikki Farahanchi (IG: @nikki.dancee) Inspired by her summer travels to Iran, Nikki has been studying, teaching, and performing the craft of Persian dance since 2017. Over these six weeks, Nikki will teach a variety of Persian dance styles from classical Persian movements in technique class to her absolute favorite style Bandari to specialty classes like the Persian wedding knife dance. Each class will be a unique and rare opportunity to formally learn traditional dances performed throughout Iran in a fun, friendly, and warm environment. All beginners and masters are welcome to learn, dance, and play! THURSDAYS -- ❤︎ Sep 19 -- Persian Technique Level I -- ❤︎ Sep 26 -- Persian Technique Level II -- ❤︎ Oct 3 -- Baba Karam Open Level -- ❤︎ Oct 10 -- Bandari Level I -- ❤︎ Oct 17 -- Bandari Level II -- ❤︎ Oct 24 -- Persian Wedding Knife Dance PERSIAN TECHNIQUE: Learn classical Persian techniques to set you up for success in all Persian dance styles. BABA KARAM: Iconic Persian dance style from the streets of Tehran, this style involves a fedora hat & is incredibly playful and fun to learn! BANDARI: Originating from the Persian Gulf & recognized by jazz hands & shimmies! Bandari dance is full of life! PERSIAN WEDDING KNIFE DANCE: Wear white! This class will teach the legendary knife dance performed by friends of the bride & groom before cutting the cake! • EXPERIENCE LEVEL Open/Beginner-Friendly • TIME: 7:00 - 8:00PM • LOCATION: Ripley-Grier Studios - 520 8th Ave, New York • PRICE: $20 drop-in fee or Class Pack • STUDIO ROOM : TBA | Nikki will send an email with details the afternoon of your class - and/or check the monitors on floor 16 and 17 of studio. You may request a class recording to enjoy at home.

Cancellation Policy

Any sessions canceled or rescheduled within 24 hours of the scheduled session will be charged the full rate. No-show sessions will not be refunded but a class recording can be requested!
